Housing Still in the Tank and Not Getting Much Help from Freddie
For the third month in a row the Case-Shiller index looks really bleak. The price of homes continues to fall and many had though that there would be improvement by now. It is not unusual to see a slide in the housing market this time of year as the latter months in a year are not good for home buying as a rule – people are not all that keen to move during the holidays. The hope had been that prices would have at least stabilized but they have now fallen to levels seen in 2003 and that is before any of the boom period that marked that decade.
