Ivory Coast Files Complaint with UN over “Illegal Drilling”

Authorities from the Ivory Coasthave filed an official complaint with the UN Continental Shelf Commission over what it calls a breach of its international waters by petroleum companies from Ghana. The authorities say that current drilling activities are serious and will treat those companies as committing “assault amounting to theft and looting of raw materials”. The directorate has asked that the companies operating in the region halt activity immediately. This is not likely to have an immediate or significant impact on Brent North Sea Crude – but any conflicts that happen as a result could have some impact on stability in the region.

You had a comment about leadership last week (or the lack thereof). Can I access that on your website?
