Monday’s Attack on Wall Street “Compromised”

We wrote yesterday about some activity that had reportedly been designed by the global hacker group Anonymous. Now, it appears as though it may not have been an Anonymous ploy at all, but a group that has infiltrated Anonymous to discredit it. Here is some of the latest from Andrea Devaro at the Long Island Press: Andrea says that a message under a video posted online say – BREAKING EMERGENCY UPDATE: Warning: The Operation #invadewallstreet HAS BEEN COMPROMISED. Do not participate. People may still hack NYSE. They will do it at their own risk.

This was after a tweet from AnonyOps said, “WARNING: To ALL people! DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN #invadewallstreet AGENT named hypotenuse has infiltrated AnonOps IRC.”

We are just sharing because the war in cyberspace has started. It is clear now that this will be the next front lines of infiltration, intrigue, counterintelligence, and James Bond types of activity.
